Nipple Pain: Some soreness or discomfort is normal when begining breast feeding. Nipple pain that is continous in the first week or does not get better is not normal. Make sure that the baby's mouth is wide open and it has much of the areola in the mouth as possible.

- Encouragement: When your breasts are enlarged, they will feel full hard and tender. Once your body figure out just much milk your baby needs, the problem should go away in a week or so.

- Blocked Milk Duct: If a duct clogged with unused milk, a head knot will form in that breast. To clan the blockage and get the milk flowing again try breast feeding longer and more often on the breast that is blocked.
